Our elementary school students have been hard at work this year learning about kindness and putting it into action! As part of their “Kindness 101” curriculum, they spent the year making rubber band bracelets and collecting other donated items to raise money for a special cause.
Through their efforts, they were able to take a trip to Publix to purchase gift cards for foster children at the Haven Center. But their generosity didn’t stop there. While at the store, the students encountered a homeless man and decided to give him $30 worth of gift cards as well.
The total amount raised was an impressive $769.55! The money will be used to provide meals and summer snacks for the children at the Haven Center.
We’re so proud of our students for their compassion and their willingness to make a difference in the world. They are truly shining examples of kindness in action!
