Meet The Staff
Beth Rosenthal Davis
Hello my name is Beth Davis and I would like to tell you a little bit about myself.
Currently, I live in Miami. My daughter Rebekah and son Benjamin attend college at UCF in Orlando. I am a National Board Certified Teacher who taught Elementary School for 17 years. I got my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from FIU, and my Master’s Degree in TESOL (Teaching Speakers of Other Languages) from Nova University, I also hold an Education Specialist Degree in Computer Education from Barry University.
In 2005, I opened Kids For Kids Academy Preschool where alongside a wonderful staff I teach the families in the school how to raise empathetic children. These concepts are outlined in my book, You Are Never Too Small To Make A Big Difference (available at www.teachkidskindness.com). I also teach preschoolers science in our school’s preschool science lab. Over the years I have been invited to leads conference presentations based on the concepts found in my book Hands On Minds On Preschool: A Blueprint To The World of Science & Math For Young Children (available at www.handsonmindsoneducation.
I am also the founder of Kids 4 Kids, Inc., a non-profit organization that teaches children that they can change the world through their acts of kindness. Since 1996, Kids 4 Kids (www.kids4kids.org) has provided backpacks filled with school supplies and books for over 90,000 underprivileged children.
Above all I love working with children because they desire to learn and discover about the world around them -They are natural born scientists. This blog contains photos, descriptions, & video links to actual hands on science activities performed in the Kids For Kids Academy Science Lab. My most recent book, Hands on Science and Math, is available from Gryphon House, and includes 45 activities geared for children in Pre-K through 2nd Grade.
