Kids For Kids Academy COVID 19 Quarantine Guidelines  

Adapted from guidance of The Florida Department of Health Surgeon General 

Emergency Rule 64DER21-15 Protocols For Controlling COVID 19 in School Settings: 

Protocols for symptomatic or COVID-19 positive children experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19 or who have a positive diagnostic test for COVID-19:   

  • The child shall not attend school and shall observe the ten-day quarantine rule.  
  • The students may return to school after there has been no fever for 24 hours or symptoms have improved 
  • Or the student receives written permission from a doctor or a negative test result. 

Children who have been exposed to a student with COVID-19 

  • Kids For Kids Academy respects a parent’s right to choose the option that is best for their family. 
  • Parents may allow their child to attend school/childcare without restrictions if their student remains asymptomatic. 
  • Parents who choose may quarantine their child for a period of five days after the last exposure. 
  • If a student becomes symptomatic following direct contact with an individual that has tested positive, they shall follow the protocols for students testing positive for COVID-19.
If someone in your home has COVID or your child has been exposed to someone with COVID and they are not vaccinated
  • Your child must quarantine for at least 5 full days after the person got the positive results. 
  • Wear a mask at home. 
  • AFTER THE 5 day QUARANTINE, get tested even if no symptoms. 
  • Watch for symptoms until 10 days after close contact. 
  • If symptoms develop symptom, quarantineuntil day 10.
